Jordan was able to come home early from his trip to Tulsa, so we went fishing with his family on Friday. We took Papa Lammy's and Uncle Cory's boat to Scofield Reservoir. We sat for a little while without catching anything, but then the kids started catching them left and right. Tanner reeled in the first one and Katie was excited, until it flopped around in the boat. Then she totally flipped out. I'm talking MAJOR tears and screaming, the works! Once Jordan got it on the stringer and into the lake, she was fine again, but she would not touch her pole. Guess who caught the next 2 fish??? Katie. Well, I guess really it was Jordan, but they were on Katie's pole. Each time we caught one, we had another flip out! It didn't get better, in fact I think they got worse. She decided to move by Papa Lammy so she couldn't see the fish and we even turned her around and had the people in Cory's boat distract her because I am sure that everyone within 10 miles could hear her. Then guess who caught a fish?? Papa Lammy. It was crazy. But funny, too. Jordan decided that he is buying all of us little kid poles because no one with a full size pole caught a fish. (Jordan had accidentally sat on his Dad's pole and broke the top of when he was in the boat, so his was just as small as the kids.) We had a great time even with Katie being a little "psycho".
Looking good in our shades and hats.
Tanner reeling in his monster, look at that focus!
Obviously this is BEFORE the freak-out!
Toward the end, we got her to hold her pole and reel it in when she knew there would be no fish on the end.
The 4 fish from our boat. Katie was NOT having it. We were lucky she would stand anywhere near them.

What a fun day! I'm with Katie though, flopping fish are freaky!
Looks like fun. We went up to Scofield with Bryce's parents last year. It's nice. That's so funny about Katie. What would ya do without her!!!
how fun! love all the pictures!!
Too funny! Katie is such a cutie... especially in those cool shades, hat and life jacket. :-) I'm glad you guys had a great time! We are going to miss you at Fish Lake this year, but understand completely why you aren't going to make it.
...Good job on catching all those fish!
