Denver

The morning after making candy, we flew off with the Allfreys to Denver. We had a great time-as usual. We got to the airport early despite the slick roads and almost a foot of snow at our house. And our flight wasn't delayed...or so we thought. We boarded the plane on time and started taxiing out and the pilot said we had to go get de-iced. So we thought it would be 20 minutes or so. Boy were we wrong. We did sit there for at least 20 minutes before they even started de-icing. Then when they were finally finished, the pilot came over the intercom to tell us that since we sat waiting to de-ice for so long, we needed to get more fuel. SO we rolled back to the gate and were refueling, but that took 20 minutes! I don't think that was because of the fuel thing. We think they were trying to figure out what to do with all the people that were catching a flight to Fort Lauderdale in Denver. Anyway, by the time we landed in Denver we were 2 hrs late! To make it worse, we were sitting by a LOUD family that were totally annoying. And I'm not talking babies or even toddlers. The adults were just as bad as the kids!! That was a bad start. They didn't have too much snow, so we thought that the roads wouldn't be bad. But they were horrible! AND we didn't see a single snow plow until about 9:30 that night! Glad we live where they plow while the storm is going on. And not until the storm is long gone! Anyway, we went to Fatburger for a late lunch then headed to Glenda's house to give her the 3 tickets she bought for the Avalanche game. We got to see baby Maya. She is so cute. And she is still tiny! She is almost 4 months old and weighs about 8 1/2 lbs. Crazy! Tanner weighed almost that much when he was born. After that we went to the Mall to shop then to Papadeaux for dinner. So yummy!! We then went back to the hotel and hung out until midnight.

We slept in on Sunday then headed out to Country Buffet for a late breakfast. Then we went to the game. We didn't get there early because it was freezing! We were pretty bundled up! The game was good. We won, by a lot!!! I know, shocking! After the Bronco game, we walked to the Pepsi Center for the Avalanche (Hockey) game. They won also, and it was an exciting game. They scored 9 goals! One guy even got a hat trick! We had a good time! We went and got cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory and a Slurpee! YUM! Then watched a movie at the hotel.

Jordan and I all bundled up!

Scoreboard!

Brian, Kim, Jordan and I after the game! Do we look cold??

I love this picture. Kim's face cracks me up!

All of us after the game!

We got up Monday morning and left for the airport. We had no trouble this time and made it home on time. It was a great trip! Thanks Brian and Kim!
